When we arrived, he was so weak that he could only lie still on the ground.

I put him in the car and prepared the softest mattress.
I just hoped that from this moment on everything will be easy for him.
At the hospital, he started to be tested
Seeing his body, which was nothing but skin and bones, made me extremely sad.

He was in a lot of pain.
They checked him for fever, luckily the result was negative.
They took blood for a basic general and blood parasites test.
Hematocrit below 20%.
They were going to do an ultrasound and we had asked them to do toxoplasmosis and neospora.
We were all trying our best to keep him going

The doctor told us they don’t know if he would make it through the night
His condition was very worrying, but Ruperto pulled through.
He was still hypothermic and his blood sugar is not regulated
He had started eating a little now, he was still dehydrated.
He has had a blood transfusion but his hematocrit has not improved

It was a blessing to see Ruperto, seeing him standing there eating makes me happy
A miracle has really happened.
No one thought Ruperto would pull through.
But he did.
The expectations of all of us had been paid off.
A new future awaits him.
As long as he recovered and was discharged from the hospital, a good family was ready to welcome him.
