Thank you for your support – every penny is valuable.
Together we have great power!
As soon as we receive the result of the fundraiser, we will post it on the website.
Fear, pain, terror… We see it in their eyes. We urgently need your help.
We interrupt the animal drama in a village near Poznań. 7 starving dogs, 2 horses, 11 calves and 25 cows. For the past few years they lived and died in terrible conditions. No one reacted. Will they be able to be helped?
As an organization, we can actually help animals in Poland. We even have an obligation to take the animal away – if its health and life are at risk. In the case of this intervention, that is exactly what happens. But…
We do not have enough funds to take and treat all the animals on the property. That is why we have urgently launched a collection to save them. We can only stop their drama with you, who are reading our call for help for these animals. We are looking for places for dogs, calves and collecting funds for the treatment of animals, their maintenance and transport from the cruel place where they lived and suffered.
The worst situation on the property is 7 dogs. They have been living on chains for years, emaciated and dehydrated – they are very afraid of people. This starving bitch is permanently chained to the kennel. You can see her ribs, her sunken sides. She is very afraid of people.
The dog in the photo below has no way of protecting itself from wind, rain and frost. It is scared. It is covered in fleas. It wants so much to free itself from the chain; it has been tearing at the tree for several years – it has worn away and gnawed off almost the entire bark from its helplessness…
We see the dogs suffering so much on the spot. We can’t leave them there. We see the owner pulling them out of the kennel.
There is also a pregnant female dog chained and tied with a baler string at the kennel. She is the only one who does not show any emaciation, because she has a “bulging belly”, she will probably give birth to puppies in a few days. She probably gives birth like this twice a year.
What’s happening with these puppies? The villagers say that this is a rhetorical question… There are three other emaciated dogs on the property. One is running around in circles, locked in a small cage without a kennel. Two other emaciated dogs are kept on chains. In their case, as in the previous cases, a decision was made to temporarily take them away.
We don’t just rescue dogs, we also take calves. 11 of them have chains so short that they can’t even straighten up. Some are so weak that they don’t have the strength to stand up. This can be seen in the 4-month-old calf in the photo on the right.
On the left lies a cow with a prolapsed vagina. We call a vet immediately to help her.
The calves must be taken from the farm, and treatment must be started immediately. They are starving. We must do this quickly so that they do not share the fate of those for whom help was too late. The owners of the farm hid the calves’ bodies under the manure behind the barn.
So we have 7 begging dogs, 11 calves, 2 horses and 25 cows to save.
The most needy, starved animals – 7 dogs, 11 calves we picked up on Monday, the intervention lasted all day. We ordered specialist transports for the dogs, they went to a veterinary clinic – they are undergoing tests. We secured all the calves – 11. They are in serious condition, they survived the transport, they are under the care of doctors – they also went to a specialist facility for treatment. We are submitting an application to pick up the remaining animals, horses, cows and poultry.
We operated at the scene of the intervention on Monday for over 8 hours. The commune refused to save the animals, claiming that there was no place where, in accordance with the Animal Protection Act, it could accept sick animals.
We couldn’t leave them there. So we need our joint help to cover the costs of treatment, transport costs. These are huge amounts. Just examining the animals on the first day of the intervention, taking blood, drips and medications costs over 4 thousand zlotys. The next days mean more expenses. We have to save these animals. Help us with this.
