DAR Animal Rescue heard about a little puppy who was all alone, hiding under a bench. People had been walking by and posting pictures of him on Facebook asking for help.

Strangely enough, no one stopped, picked her up, and helped her up on their own. She was so small and covered in mud. It was surprising that she had been left there like that.

One of the DAR rescuers came over to help the poor puppy. She couldn’t understand why the baby was left to suffer. When she arrived and saw the helpless little girl crying, she was speechless. This puppy was in serious condition. She wouldn’t survive much longer.

The rescuer wrapped her in a blanket and loaded her into the car. It was time to take her to the vet. Once she was on the bed, the vet removed the ticks that had been eating her blood. There were tons of them. Her eyes were also infected. Poor baby!

The vet even tried to get her up on her own but she was too weak. It was a struggle. In addition to being malnourished, she was also anemic from the blood loss from the parasites.

Finally, the puppy is given food and water. She is thrilled! When was the last time she ate? No one knows for sure.

The little girl is in bad shape but they are working around the clock to do everything they can to make her well. No one can predict the future, but now that she is safe and cared for, her future looks much brighter than before.
