Abandoned at a vet clinic, XiaoDan was left to face an uncertain future, with his health deteriorating rapidly. The clinic, unsure of how to help, reached out to the community, and that’s when we stepped in.

XiaoDan’s situation was dire, and time was running out. Without intervention, euthanasia seemed inevitable, but we knew XiaoDan deserved a chance at life. We offered to bring him to our shelter, and with the help of the vet, who generously agreed to cover his medical expenses, XiaoDan was given that second chance.

Through the dedicated care of our volunteers, XiaoDan’s once despairing eyes began to show a glimmer of hope. Despite his paralyzed limbs and painful infections, XiaoDan fought with incredible strength to survive. The journey wasn’t easy—taking care of such a large dog required round-the-clock attention. Daily exercises, careful turning, regular bathing, and a nutritious diet were all essential to his recovery.

Over time, XiaoDan’s health began to improve. His skin diseases were cured, and he started eating and drinking well again. Though he may have a big body, XiaoDan’s gentle and shy nature shone through, capturing the hearts of everyone who met him.
