We responded to a report about two pitbulls trapped in a cycle of severe abuse. Despite previous warnings, fines and instructions for the owner to improve their care, the dogs were reported again months later, for the same neglect and cruelty.

The sight of the dogs was heartbreaking, both pitbulls were lying on the ground, barely able to move. One of them had a swollen head, so large it was hard to believe, and his eyes were full of pain and hopelessness.

Their bodies were covered in sores, and their fur was matted with dirt. It was clear they hadn’t eaten properly in weeks, maybe longer. The smell of infection and neglect was overwhelming, and the area around them was littered with filth…
