Imagine seeing a wolf running through your neighborhood. That would be pretty scary, right? A message was sent to Hope For Paws, as they were most likely the best qualified to catch the “scary beast.” But it turned out it wasn’t a wolf at all!

Maybe a hybrid of some sort but definitely not a wild wolf!

Once Eldad and Lisa were able to get close, they realized that this was one of the gentlest creatures they had ever met! They named her Julia. She didn’t fight to be caught, probably too exhausted to do so. Julia was severely malnourished, covered in mange, dirty and her paws were in horrible condition. Her nails had grown so long they were disfigured.

BUT… Julia, with her gentle but strong spirit, was going to receive the best medical care possible and leave her previous life behind. She received medicated baths, antibiotics, and a healthy, consistent diet. Once she had a safe place to heal, she did so very well and did so very quickly.

Julia has found her forever home and she is doing great. This once unrecognizable animal is now living the dream life of a dog. What a precious puppy! HOORAY!
