Dumped Senior Dog Puts Paw on Man’s Arm and Desperately Begs for Empathy

The 16-year-old dog was deaf and blind in one eye and was dumped because he had cancer. Then he met a man willing to give him one last chance.

Henry the dog was about sixteen years old when his family surrendered him to the shelter, perhaps because of his diagnosis of testicular cancer. They didn’t even bother to appear to care about his treatment options and actually got rid of him when he wanted them the most. The unexpected abandonment scarred Henry, leaving him without hope.

With Henry giving up his will to live, most of his tumors have gotten ominously worse. Being deaf and blind in one eye has taken a toll on his physical condition, and the constant pain has caused him to lose most of his mobility. When a man named Zach Skow saw his condition, he knew the bad dog wouldn’t be around for more than a few weeks.

Zach decided to take Henry in as a hospice foster and make him feel loved and cherished in his final days. However, an extraordinary problem arose after Henry passed away and spent his first night with Zach and his loving family. Henry somehow discovered electricity to get up and walk to the yard! He felt blessed to have a family looking out for him again, and it reignited his spark!

This dramatic turnaround continued to mount as Henry began to feel better over the course of the hour! His walks became gallops and Zach decided to give him that surgery to remove the cancer. After that, there was no stopping Henry once again! It was like a rebirth for him as he began to have fun like a puppy again!

Zach believes that family acceptance was once the key variable in lifting Henry’s spirits and helping him recover. Henry has now been adopted by a wonderful family, who has promised to provide him with a lavish retirement for the twilight years of his life. What a stunning wonder!
